If you want to have a monetary return in business, just think about this for a moment…
“Return” means that there was something that came out from you before.
As I wrote in a different article, you need to ask yourself is the value of the content or service you intend to deliver is higher than the money you would like to have in return. If you believe so, then you will be followed and the people you serve, will serve you.
If you intend to become public, then things change a little. In that case, you will want to even give more value to the individual, and that is because you don’t aim to just one person. You aim to hundreds of thousands.
In this case, you can give services and content for free initially. Always over deliver. Always sending you knowledge with gratitude and with the intention to benefit whoever gets in contact with you.
There’s a good practice that’s been passed on from successful people, and that is: Always leave things better than the way you found them.
In this case, you could put it this way: Serve your people with the intention to benefit and help them. Make you content in a way that will positively impact whoever reads or uses it. The fruits will come back multiplied.
That’s a law and nobody invented. It always existed.
There’s one thing that many of us struggle to understand, and that is: the quality of persistence.
Nothing can replace persistence. Remember what Calvin Coolidge remarked 30th US president:
“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and Determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “Press On” has solved and will always solve the problems of the human race.”
You (and me) need to have a clear goal.
The exact amount of money we want in return
The service/knowledge we want to deliver
The activities that will take us closer to that goal
The routine, daily activities that will be our daily “mantra”
You don’t need to be expert, genius, educated, talented… no.
